We know we can always make improvements and increase value at Mareeba State School, however, Term 3 attendance has a lot to get excited about! On Friday 20th August we had our first class on a Friday reach 100% for 2021!
Congratulations 6M and Mr May for setting a great example to all other classes that every day counts - including Fridays.
Our target at Mareeba State School is 95%! We understand that everyone has days when they may be sick and we appreciate your commitment to stopping the spread of illnesses within our school. It is vital that when your children are sick that you please contact the front office either via phone (4092 8100), email (admin@mareebass.eq.edu.au), SMS or the Student Absence Hotline (4092 8166). If we know that your child is unwell we can mark their roll accordingly. On average we have 4-5 classes reach this target every day. We have been so very proud of all our classes striving to reach our attendance goal, and their commitment to attending and learning.
Our Term 3 attendance party will be a pizza party. This will be a day that we acknowledge those students who have reached the target and deserve to be rewarded for their efforts in making every day in every classroom count. At present we have 261 students who are sitting at 95% and above and our goal is to ensure this number does not drop over the remainder of the term.
If you are having issues getting your child to school, please contact the office and they will redirect you to our FLO (Tracy Marcel), Mrs Burton, Mr Nielsen or Ms Carmody.
Have a great week!
- Tracy Marcel (FLO) & Nyree Burton (Deputy Principal)
