As we head into our assessment and reporting period we would like to have a look at some of our Attendance data for the year, as well as compare it to previous years. At the moment MSS is currently sitting at 82.1% attendance for all students from Prep to Year 6.
Wednesday 31 May was our highest attendance day EVER with 90.7% here. It could have been the school photos or the fact that our families are doing a wonderful job of supporting your child to attend, learn and succeed!
Thank you.
Looking at some data for Term 1 of 2023 as compared to 2022 (Term 1) the data is very similar.
The data in the table above is not meant to 'name and shame' any group, but simply to look at the various groups the department sends us to base our data on. We use this data to report back to the department also.
Ms Deidre is working very hard with children on ARTIE challenges which can be seen in the data! Good job.
The green indicates growth and improvement in each particular group. As you can see, we have seen a massive 3% growth in attendance for our students with a disability.
Again, credit to the staff for working hard to engage your students in their learning, and a big credit to you as families for supporting your child attend school every day (that they are well).
Our MSS Hub space has been supporting students and families with breakfast, emergency lunches, book packs and more, as we know it is getting tough.
We encourage you to speak to your child's teacher or call the fabulous ladies in the front office and they can point you in the right direction to get help in supporting your child to attend school, if you need assistance.
