Hello all and welcome back to another jam-packed learning, achieving and succeeding year at MSS.  We appreciate everyone who has returned their child to our care, and provided them with all the necessary resources they need in class.

At MSS we pride ourselves on attendance and making sure 'EVERY DAY COUNTS'.  We are still chasing the target of 95% attendance at school for our kids.  With this 95% attendance comes rewards and activities in Semester 1 (June) and Semester 2 (December).  Every week on parade, our new Family Liaison Officer (FLO), Ms Shannon Clemments has the attendance certificates ready.  The class with the highest attendance across a cohort (year level) will be given the certificate on parade, as well as a whole class set of icy poles.  These winners will be advertised on our school Face Book page, so keep your eyes peeled.

We also celebrate when classes reach 100% on any given day.  And can I say we are starting 2024 very strongly with Prep C and Ms Collis having 2 100% days in week 1 already.  Little legends.

If your child is unwell, please contact the school so we can record it.

We are currently still chasing up kids and families who have not returned to MSS.  Please do not stay away because you have no lunch, or books etc.  Our team at the Student Services Hub can help you out with these things and many more.

This year again we are truly grateful to the generosity of the 'Hungry Pug' and Howe farming for their ongoing support of emergency lunches and bananas for our daily fruit breaks.  Also thank you to the individual families and people out there in our community who often donate food items such as bread, spreads, milo, milk so our kids can have some breakfast and lunch to help their brains think.  Your generosity does not go unnoticed, so thank you all.

If you are having some difficulty getting your child to school, please contact the school and we will help.  If your child will not get out of the car, we can help with that too.

Have a wonderful week,

Nyree, Shannon & Deidre (the Attendance Team)
