It's hard to believe that we are halfway through Term 3!
The P&C committee have been very busy, working together with Mrs Simpson to improve our school's resources and ensure the safety of our students/children.
Architecture plans to improve the amenity blocks, upgrade the Year 2 play area, school banners and a new PA system are some of the projects that have been achieved so far.
It was so wonderful to see so many families attend the 'Mareeba State School Family Country Fair' on Friday the 6th of August. The school's P&C committee and staff worked endlessly to ensure that all of our students and their families had a safe, pleasant and memorable time.
We were blown away with the students' response when we announced that a Talent Quest was going to be featured at the Country Fair! Apart from a few minor technical issues, I would think it's safe to say, it was a success! We were so proud and happy to see our students showcase these talents on the night. Very impressive!
A big thank you to all the businesses and clubs that donated and volunteered throughout the evening. We are so grateful to have a community that is willing to assist our school and see that our children get to experience such great events. If it weren't for their kindness and generosity, events such as these would not be possible.
To the Mareeba State School P&C committee and staff - great work. I'd like to think that under the current pandemic, we did quite well. We hope that our families and the public agree, and we continue to ensure that our children get to experience these special events in the future.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday the 15th September 2021, at 5.00pm in the Mareeba State School staffroom. Everyone is welcome.
