Welcome back to 2022 – what a crazy start to our year. It is so good to see so many students settling into the new school year and already earning PayWay. This year will see us revamping our Pause Program alongside the Zones of Regulations and having all student in the school say and sign the I Respects and MSS Expectations (so many can already!). Here is a link to help parents understand the parts of the brain which is a 'big' part of Pause and understand how the brain works - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3gXB_IF1Nc
I Respects and MSS Expectations
For the next fortnight students will be going over the 9 MSS Expectations as a refresher and to expose our new Preppies to The Mareeba Way.
Respect & Collect Shop
2022 will see a term 1 catalogue available by week 5 with all of the items for sale this term. Keep your eyes out for specials! Banking will need to happen by Friday each week to be able to go to Tricky Tuesday the follow week. Tricky Tuesday will start in week 5 with winners from week 3 and 4 invited.
Timeout
The timeout process for 2022 will be the same as last year. In the unfortunate event a student is given time out for not meeting the MSS I Respects and Expectations at lunch time and before and after school, the student will miss out on playtime the following day. They will attend timeout and you will receive a text message to advise you of this. In timeout students may be asked to write an apology letter, restore property that they have broken, write the MSS I Respects and Expectations and reflect on their behaviour.
