Attendance and Engagement
As we are heading into our assessment time in the classrooms, our student attendance is so crucial at this time of the term. Our Year 3 and 5 students are going into NAPLAN in week 8 and 9 so it is vital for our students to come to school every day so they can undertake the testing.
Our attendance target is 95% and the below table shows our current Term 1 attendance data:
Week | Whole school attendance |
1 | 84% |
2 | 85% |
3 | 86% |
4 | 84% |
5 | 82% |
6 | 86% |
So good to see many classes are reaching the 100% days with numerous classes being acknowledged for this effort on our FB page. In every classroom our students are learning and achieving, so arriving at school on time each day helps students be ready and organised for learning.
The Hub space provides emergency book packs, breakfasts and lunches, so please don't use this as an excuse to keep your child at home. Our teachers and staff are skilled in providing learning opportunities that not only support, but extend your child.
The school has so much happening over the next few weeks such as:
NAPLAN, Cross Country, Easter Bonnet Parade, Year Level Spelling Bees, Classroom rewards/celebrations for their 500 Pay Ways (Positive Behaviour for Learning) and Parent Teacher interviews that it important to send your child to school every day they are well.
Please contact the school or your child's teacher if you need help with this.
