Attendance Update – Week 7
Welcome to winter in the tropics. Our lower temperatures are playing havoc with some of our attendance data this past week. While the mornings are slightly fresher, the days are glorious and a great day to learn new things.
At Mareeba State School, if you are well the expectation is that you attend school as EVERYDAY COUNTS!
I know that COVID, sickness etc has affected our data, but I am very interested to know from you (families) why our Friday attendance data is so low, when it is my most favourite day to come to school! If anyone has any info on this, please share with Miss Tracy by calling our front office on 40928100.
No lunches or breakfast is NOT a reason to stay at home, as we have our brekky and lunch programs donated by our fabulous supporters at The Hungry Pug, Brumbies, Howe's Farming to name a few. We happily support our students by providing food so they can think better with a full belly.
Below is a snap shot of Term 2 attendance data:
Our Semester 1 (Term 1 and 2) attendance celebration for students with attendance 95-100% will be held Thursday 23rd June. It will be a cracker event with some games, ice cream and more to come.
If you are having trouble getting your child to school for any reason, please contact the front office on 4092 8100 and they will direct you to the right person to help you out.
Have a wonderful week.
