This week we will continue our focus expectation I Respect Me & You – good manners, good choices. We are starting off the term acknowledging students who continually use good manners and make good or great choices. As a part of this teaching, students will be explicitly taught what MSS expects when it comes to good manners and good choices, as we know this can be different for everyone. Staff are giving lots of reminders to students before breaks so that it is fresh in their minds as they are leaving for lunch, especially now that we are going out to play first. This transition has been exceptionally successful and students must be commended on how adaptable they have been with the new MSS lunchtimes. We have already noted that students are back in class after break ready for learning.
Term 3 will have a heavy focus on Social and Emotional learning with all teachers implementing the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationship Program (4Rs or RRRR). Students and teachers are both very much enjoying this program and finding students love it and are beginning to recognise their feelings (Zones of Regulations) and why this is happening (Pause Process).
Respect & Collect Shop
We are busy restocking the shop after record purchases in Semester 1. We are not sure how to better our bike giveaway from Term 2, but the PBL Team are busy coming up with ideas. A very big thank you must be given to Miss Coyle in Year 6, who works tirelessly to create the database where we record the entire school's banking and purchases – THANK YOU MISS COYLE!
