Term 4 will, once again, be a busy and productive term. Teachers and students will be working hard to complete assesment tasks to allow report cards to be finalised. Children will be assessed and reported on according to a 5-point scale for the Australian Curriculum areas of English, Maths, Science, HASS, HPE, Technology and The Arts. LOTE (Auslan) will also be reported on for students in Years 5 & 6.
Report cards will be emailed or sent home to parents on Wednesday, December 8th.
A detailed curriculum overview for each level was sent home with students last week through our 'Curriculum at Home' flyers. Please check your child's school bag if you have not received one.
The Book Fair will be held in the library from Monday, October 25th - Friday October 29th. This will be a fantastic opportunity to purchase a book to add to your child's Christmas presents. All monies raised from the Book Fair go towards purchasing books and resources for our library that can be used by all students.
The Reading Cafe for Term 4 will commence on Tuesday in week 2 (October 12th). Reading Cafe operates every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30 - 8:55am in the library. Students are encouraged to come along and practise their reading. At every visit students receive a cup of Milo and every 10th visit sees them receive a cupcake. Volunteers to hear students read are always welcomed.
The Reading Cafe will not operate during week 4 (Tuesday October 26th, Thursday October 28th) due to the Book Fair. It will recommence on Tuesday, November 2nd.
Bravehearts will visit our school in week 8 to present 'The Ditto Show' to students from Prep - Year 3. The cost of this show is just a gold coin donation. Further information will be sent home closer to the date.
We look forward to seeing students at school everyday enjoying their learning through fun and engaging activities.
