Our annual Cross Country was held on Friday 22nd March and what a fantastic day it was. Students practiced hard during physical education lessons working on their cardiovascular endurance, and preparing themselves mentally, discussing strategies such as pacing themselves, sprinting near the finish line, good sleep habits, healthy eating and outside of school hours training. These preparations were well rewarded as the weather on the day was beautiful and students were very excited with lots of coloured hair and zinc allowing everyone to get into their team spirit. It was lovely to have so many parents, carers and relatives along supporting the students. A big congratulations to Mitchell, the winning house.

Thank you to the P&C Association for the purchase of our PA system which worked wonderfully on the day.

Good luck to our 10 to 12 year old top 5 finishers from who will receive invitations to compete at the Tablelands District Cross Country at Yungaburra on Wednesday the 1st of May. Notes for those students will go out early in term 2.

Yours in Sport,
