We have welcomed many new and returning families to our school community this year and what a strong start we have had with our attendance so far. We say it all the time but in case you forgot over the holiday season, our target at Mareeba State School is 95% as Every Day Counts.
It gives us great pleasure to mention that our school attendance was at 89% for both the Colour Run on 01/02/23 and on our Day 8 Thursday 02/02/23. The school is a buzz with excitement when we see such high numbers present. Classes and students get excited to see all their peers and staff are excited to welcome back families and establish new connections. Thank you for being part of the excitement and celebrating attendance.
Keep an eye out on your child's classroom door for our 95% and 100% celebration hangers. These are hung up outside the classroom to celebrate when the class reaches these milestones.
We understand that for some families there are many factors that may contribute to challenges around attendance for your child. At Mareeba State School, we are one team!
We cannot emphasize enough that as a team we are here to support and assist you to work out a plan together that best suits your child in returning to regular attendance. If you are struggling at all please get in contact with anyone from our attendance team or your child's class teacher and we can work as a team to achieve the ultimate goal of every child in every classroom is learning and achieving.
