The Instrumental Music Program offers tuition in the categories of Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion to students in small groups of 2 to 7, weekly. The program also provides weekly band rehearsals, where students coordinate multiple functions in the skills of music.
The program builds positive relationships, confidence, and achievement, while aspiring students towards higher responsibility and team building. Students aim to perform to their best standard for public performances while representing Mareeba State School to an open audience.

Woodwind - Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Saxophone
Brass - Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone Horn, Euphonium
Percussion - Tuned/Mallets, Untuned/Drums, Auxiliary Percussion, Bass Guitar
