It is always awesome to watch the incredible music talent of the next generation being unleashed and over the past few weeks I've seen many students unmask their excellent music skills. This is what we've been doing in Music:
Prep: We've been learning hand symbols to use when we sing.
Year 1: We've been learning to dance to the beat so that we can do the 'Nutbush.'
Year 2: We've been learning how to write a traditional style Indigenous song.
Year 3-5: We've been writing melodies that represent animals.
Year 6: We've been writing humorous parodies of Pop songs.
One thing that really impressed me was when four year 5 students decided they would stay behind after class to do some extra work. They sharpened all the pencils, cleaned the whiteboard, organised their fellow students' work so it could be filed and then happily volunteered to stay back again next week. Thank you to Ashlee, Maddison, Isabel and Jasmine. Well done!
