Hi, I'm Jackson Payne, Instrumental Music Teacher. I moved from the suburbs of 
Brisbane and have been living in Far North Queensland for about two months now. I began playing the guitar at age 12 and come from a large family of musicians. After growing up in the small town of Woodford I moved to Brisbane to study Classical Guitar at the Queensland Convervatorium of Music and later studied secondary education.
The Instrumental Music Program here at Mareeba SS has been exciting and enjoyable. I have spent the last couple of months getting to know the students' personalities and their relationship with music, which has allowed for some funny moments in our music classes. With it being close to the end of the year I'm looking forward to seeing new faces when they come to sign up for the music program commencing next year. I'm also looking forward to having our current music students in the earlier year levels join us in our weekly Big Band rehearsals in 2022.
