Curriculum Update

Term 4 is definitely moving along at a brisk pace.  Many activities have happened in the curriculum area and there are more to come!

Year 5 and 6 students have completed their Identity and Puberty workshops through Life Education, swimming has commenced for all students Prep to Year 6, Year 3 students have attended the visiting Night Sky Planetarium and our 2020 Prep students and parents have been visiting the school regularly.

Over the next few weeks, Year 1 students will have a visit from a dental technician to demonstrate 'How to Clean Your Teeth Properly'.  This links to their English unit where students write a procedure.  In the area of Science, Year 2 students are growing and observing either mealworms or silkworms and Year 6 students are growing mould.

All staff engaged in Professional Development on Monday, October 21st.  Teaching staff spent the day working on the Australian Curriculum, Moderation processes and General Capabilities and Cross-Curricular priorities; as well as beginning to develop 2020 class lists.

Monday, October 28th - Friday, November 1st sees our last Book Fair for 2019 operating out of the library.  The Reading Cafe will not operate on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during this week.

Term 4 sees written report cards distributed to parents.  These will be either emailed or sent home to parents, via their child, on Wednesday, December 11th.  Please ensure your current email address is recorded at the office to allow this process to occur smoothly.
