Big Day Out of Reading

17/10/2016
Prep students at Mareeba Mitre 10.

On Friday, 7th October, MSS's first 'Big Day Out of Reading' was held.  Over 450 Prep - Year 3 students walked into the local community to listen to business owners and service providers read them a story about 'farming'.  The aim of the day was to bring back the love of reading in all students.  The 'Big Day Out of Reading' will continue in 2017, hopefully with more businesses and students participating.  Thank you to Hannah Simpson for organising the event and to the local businesses who participated.  The day was very successful and enjoyed by all.
